After 18 intense months of research and development, we’re proud to say that DIVA is live.
I’m Paul Bertino, founder of DIVA Technologies, and DIVA came directly out of my experience working in video analysis. I kept running into the same three frustrations over and over again: the cost, the licensing, and the fact that the tools still seemed to be missing features that were actually valuable in day-to-day work. We built DIVA because we wanted the product I always wished I had—something that would save time, reduce effort, and help surface everything important in a video without adding more process.
From the beginning, our goal was to build an intelligent tool that could get into the guts of a video and pull out the information that matters. A good example is burned-in timecode. Anyone who has had to read overlays frame by frame knows how tedious that can be. That is exactly why we built DIVA’s AI-driven OCR workflow. It allows an investigator to select the relevant region, extract the burned-in timecode, and immediately compare it to the encoded timestamps and wall-clock time. When timing matters, that kind of speed and clarity makes a real difference.
We also felt strongly that the results should not be trapped inside proprietary formats. If the software finds something useful, you should be able to take that data and use it anywhere. Whether you want raw text, JSON, or other exportable outputs, DIVA is designed to make that possible. Every feature in the platform is built with that in mind.
We’re continuing to expand the feature set and working with strategic partners to make DIVA even more valuable in real investigative workflows. We’re a tight, agile team, and we move quickly. So if you have a feature request, don’t hesitate to reach out. There’s a good chance we're already working on it - and if not, we can probably build it.
We’re proud of what we’ve created so far, and we’re excited to hear what others think.
